अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बालिका दिवस (International Day of the Girl Child):-
11 अक्टूबर को प्रतिवर्ष अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बालिका दिवस (International Day of the Girl Child) मनाया जाता है | इस दिन का मुख्य उद्देश्य बालिका सशक्तीकरण और उनके मानवाधिकारों की पूर्ति को बढ़ावा देना है, साथ ही उन चुनौतियों को भी उजागर करना है जो दुनिया भर की लड़कियों के सामने हैं |
प्रत्येक वर्ष के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बालिका दिवस की अपनी Theme होती है | वर्ष 2018 का विषय है “With her: A skilled Girl Force” | वर्ष 2017 का विषय है “EmPower Girls: Before, During and After Crisis” | संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा द्वारा वर्ष 2012 में शुरू किए गए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बालिका दिवस पर केंद्रित मुद्दों में शिक्षा, समानता, बाल विवाह, यौवन और यौन स्वास्थ्य से संबंधित सेवाओं और लिंग आधारित हिंसा के मुद्दों को संबोधित करना शामिल हैं |
